Choose with your room, not a swatch alone
Compare colours beside the floors, cabinetry and furniture you are keeping. Warm whites and cool whites respond differently to daylight, shadows and evening lighting. Preview on the same room photo, then check physical samples in your home.
Give every surface a colour
Walls, ceilings, cornices, skirting, architraves, doors and painted window frames can have separate colours. These schemes give you a clear starting assignment, not a requirement to paint every surface. Keep natural timber unchanged unless you want it painted, and identify any feature wall before the work is agreed.
Choose the finish separately
