Start with what is staying
If the roof, brickwork or paving is staying, choose wall and trim colours alongside those fixed finishes. A photo preview helps compare the overall balance; physical samples are still important before choosing paint.
Give each surface a job
Specify the main wall colour, a trim colour and any door or feature colour separately. Include only the surfaces you want painted: an attractive roof in a colour concept does not automatically put roof painting in your quote.
Colour and scope are different decisions
