Paintii
A little preparation. A smoother paint job.
You don’t need to have every detail figured out. Use this checklist to get your home ready, and let us know where you need a hand before your start date.
Clear the small things
Move ornaments, loose belongings, valuables and fragile items out of the work areas. Clear benches and shelves where painting is planned. Check with us about wall-mounted items, curtains and fittings before removing them.
Agree on the bigger things
Talk to us about sofas, beds, desks and other heavy furniture. We’ll confirm what needs moving and whether assistance is included. Please don’t move anything you can’t handle safely.
Make access straightforward
Let us know about parking, building access, lift bookings, strata requirements and any restricted working hours. Confirm how we’ll enter the property and who we should contact on the day.
Plan around your household
Tell us which rooms you need to keep using. Arrange for children and pets to stay away from the work areas, and discuss any ventilation or household concerns before the job starts.
Confirm your colours and scope
Check your selected colours and finishes, and make sure we’ve agreed on the rooms and surfaces to be painted. If you’re still deciding, explore the visualiser and check physical samples before confirming.
Flag anything we should know
Tell us about leaks, damaged surfaces, sensitive belongings or previous coating problems. Don’t scrape or sand suspect old coatings yourself; flag them for assessment before preparation starts.
Leave the painting preparation to us
Our team carries out the surface preparation and protection included in your quote. If you’re unsure whether something needs doing, ask us before taking it on yourself.
